Queensland Fire Department (QFD) has imposed a local fire ban for Northern Region residents.

UPDATE: Please be advised the local fire ban declared in the Quilpie, Bulloo and Paroo Local Government Areas has been cancelled. All suspensions of Permits to Light Fire have been lifted.

UPDATE: Please be advised the local fire ban declared in the Winton Local Government Area has been cancelled. All suspensions of Permits to Light Fire have been lifted.

UPDATE: Please be advised the local fire ban declared in the Bulloo and Paroo Local Government Areas have been cancelled. All suspensions of Permits to Light Fire have been lifted.

UPDATE: Please be advised the local fire ban currently declared in the Murweh, Paroo, Bulloo and Quilpie Local Government Areas has been cancelled.

UPDATE: Please be advised the local fire ban currently declared in the Barcoo, Diamantina and Boulia Local Government Areas has been cancelled as of 1800hrs Friday, 4 October.

**Queensland Fire and Rescue crews are no longer required on scene at this incident.**

The local fire ban will be in place from 0001hrs on Wednesday 25 September for residents in the Barcoo Shire, Diamatina Shire, Boulia Shire, Winton Shire, Longreach, Barcaldine and Blackall Tambo Local Government Areas.

UPDATE: Please be advised the local fire ban currently declared in the Toowoomba, Southern Downs, Western Downs, Goondiwindi, Maranoa, Balonne, Murweh, Paroo, Quilpie and Bulloo Local Government Areas has been cancelled as at 2359hrs on Wednesday 25 September 2024.
