Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) is ramping up preparations with an increase in severe weather activity expected as the 2021-22 storm and cyclone season gets under way.
UPDATE: Please be advised the local fire ban currently declared in the Barcaldine, Longreach, Blackall-Tambo and Winton Local Government areas has been cancelled from 2pm today (1/10).
