2026 Australasian Road Crash Rescue Challenge rescheduled
The difficult decision has been made to reschedule the Australasian Road Crash Rescue Challenge (ARCRC) and Australasian Industrial and Domestic Rescue Challenge (AIDRC) that had been planned for June 2026.
The Australasian Rescue Organisation (ARO) and host, Queensland Fire Department (QFD), have confirmed, due to several factors impacting the viability and successful execution of the event, it will be rescheduled.
In consideration of the needs and priorities of ARO member agencies, multiple jurisdictions provided feedback on their financial constraints and the ability to send teams and resources to the event.
ARO and QFD will continue to work together to plan suitable future opportunities for member agency rescuers from across Australasia to collaborate, learn, and strengthen their operational capability.
ARO will continue to provide opportunities to participate in activities across all its established and emerging rescue capabilities, including Water Rescue, Boat Rescue, Road Crash Rescue, Industrial and Domestic Rescue, Vertical and Rope Rescue, and Trauma Care and Medical Rescue.
Information on future opportunities will be available at www.arro.org.au
