The Queensland Fire Department's (QFD) annual report provides information about the department’s financial and non-financial performance for the reporting period. The annual report includes key highlights and achievements, and the department’s certified financial statements.
Queensland Fire Department (QFD)
QFD is a Queensland Government department under the Public Sector Act 2022. QFD was established as a department on 1 July 2024 by Public Service Departmental Arrangements Notice (No. 5) 2024.
QFD replaces the former Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES), following a series of independent reviews and wide-ranging disaster management and fire and emergency services reviews and changes to legislation.
QFD comprises the Office of the Commissioner, Fire Inspectorate, Queensland Fire and Rescue, Rural Fire Service Queensland, State Operations Directorate, and Strategy and Corporate Services.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES)
QFES was initially established as a department on 1 November 2013 by Public Service Departmental Arrangements Notice (No. 8) 2013.

Public Safety Business Agency (PSBA)
PSBA was established on 1 November 2013 under the Public Service Act 2008 with the renaming of the Department of Community Safety.
On 21 May 2014 with the assent of the Public Safety Business Agency Act 2014, the PSBA was established as a public service office.
On 7 September 2020, the Queensland Government announced its intention to integrate the PSBA functions and staff into the public safety agencies of the Queensland Police Service (QPS) and the then QFES.
The disestablishment of the PSBA and the corresponding functional transition into the QPS and the then QFES, as per the Administrative Arrangements Order (No. 1) 2021, was completed by 30 June 2021.
