The Queensland Government Better Regulation Policy requires an Impact Analysis Statement (IAS) for all regulatory proposals. 

The policy provides guidance for the development and review of legislation, and the IAS is an assessment of the regulatory proposal. 

IASs are approved by the Minister and must be published after  final approval of the proposal by the relevant decision making body.
