Get ready, Townsville! The Queensland Fire Department will proudly host the 2026 Australasian Road Crash Rescue Challenge and the Industrial & Domestic Rescue Challenge, at the Northern Region Emergency Services Complex from 22-28 June 2026.

Organised by the Australian Rescue Organisation (ARO), this one event features two challenges, a learning symposium and a professional development day designed to bring together first responders, emergency service agencies and the industry from across Australasia to showcase their expertise in road crash rescues, industrial and domestic rescues, as well as complex trauma and medical care in rescue.

The challenges are designed to push teams to their limits, enhancing their frontline skills and ensuring they are ready to save lives when it matters most.

More than just a competition, these challenges and events will provide a platform for emergency services to share knowledge and learn about the latest advancements in technology and techniques.
