The 2026 Australasian Road Crash Rescue Challenge and the Industrial & Domestic Rescue Challenge, planned for 22-28 June 2026, will be rescheduled.
Organised by the Australian Rescue Organisation (ARO), this one event features two challenges, a learning symposium and a professional development day designed to bring together first responders, emergency service agencies and the industry from across Australasia to showcase their expertise in road crash rescues, industrial and domestic rescues, as well as complex trauma and medical care in rescue.
These challenges and events provide a platform for emergency services to share knowledge and learn about the latest advancements in technology and techniques.
In consideration of the needs and priorities of ARO member agencies, multiple jurisdictions have provided feedback on their constraints and the ability to send teams and resources to this event.
This decision acknowledges the need to plan and hold events that focus on sustainability, flexibility, and reduced costs, while still delivering value for members and meaningful opportunities for the industry on the development and exchange of information, knowledge and skills across all facets of rescue.
ARO and QFD will continue to work together to plan suitable future opportunities for member agency rescuers from across Australasia to collaborate, learn, and strengthen their operational capability.
Keep an eye on the ARO website for more information.
