UPDATE: D'Aguilar National Park (near Mount Nebo and Mount Glorious) bushfire

The Queensland Fire and Rescue Service (QFRS) and the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) are monitoring a slow-moving bushfire burning in bushland near D'Aguilar National Park. There is currently no immediate threat to properties in the area. The QFRS has activated the town siren at Mount Nebo and Mount Glorious. The siren has been activated at Phase Two (low level) to advise locals that there is a fire in the area. People can choose to leave but they are not being asked to do so. Residents in the Mount Nebo and Mount Glorious vicinity should stay alert and monitor the situation through their local media and Rural Fire Service website www.ruralfire.qld.gov.au.
