CODE OF ETHICS
- A Peer Support Officer maintains strict confidentiality
- A Peer Support Officer is actively involved with members and reasonably available to those requiring support
- A Peer Support Officer responds to individuals in a non-judgemental way, having respect for their individual beliefs and values
- A Peer Support Officer works from a position of goodwill, and at all times shows respect for each person’s autonomy in their ability to make decisions for themselves
- A Peer Support Officer agrees to on-going training and supervision as deemed necessary by FireCare
- A Peer Support Officer will at all times, help others to appropriately seek professional counselling advice and assistance
