Area 6 - Charleville
The Charleville Area covers a vast expanse of land from Mitchell where the far western border of Queensland meets the New South Wales and South Australian border.
It includes seven auxiliary stations including Augathella, Charleville, Cunnamulla, Mitchell, Morven, Mungallala, Quilpie with 70 Auxiliary Staff.
Rural industries in the area include sheep & cattle production, sheep and goat abatoirs with timber mills in Augathella and Mungallala. The main service centre is the town of Charleville, where most Government Departments are represented.
